CEC Invites Members to Annual Meeting
Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) invites members to celebrate 80 years of service by attending its annual meeting Friday, Aug. 25, at Whitehall Camp & Conference Center in Emlenton. Members will elect cooperative board members from Venango and Clarion counties, learn what is happening in the electric industry and enjoy great entertainment and food.
Registration will open at 4 p.m. Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Guests can stroll through the vendor area, and also learn how to be safe around electricity and save money on electric bills. Vendors from local hospitals and health care organizations, credit unions, Dr. Waterheater, Cassidy Insurance and the Co-op Owners for Political Action® will be present.
Entertainment includes one of Pittsburgh's favorite oldies band, American Pie, who will perform from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Children's entertainment is available for kids ages 5 through 10 during the business meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Door prize winners will be randomly drawn in the middle and at the conclusion of the meeting. Prize winners must be CEC members, preregistered and present, to win.
Special parking will be available for guests with state-issued handicapped parking permits. Others may take advantage of golf carts to transport them to the tabernacle, where the meeting will be held.
To attend, members should pre-register by calling 800-521-0570 by July 31. All members who attend will receive a $5 bill credit. All members who register by July 31 and attend, will also be entered in a special drawing Aug. 28 to win bill credits for $100 and $50.
