PEAK ALERT! CEC Urges Members to Conserve Energy Today
ATTENTION ALL CENTRAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE MEMBERS: THIS IS A PEAK ALERT ANNOUNCEMENT! PLEASE CONSERVE POWER BY TURNING OFF ALL NON-ESSENTIAL ELECTRIC ITEMS ESPECIALLY LIGHTING, DEHUMIDIFIERS, AND POOL PUMPS; AND SET YOUR AIR CONDITIONER AT A MINIMUM OF 78 DEGREES.
CEC ANTICIPATES A DEMAND PEAK FROM 1 P.M. UNTIL 7 P.M.
CEC does everything it can to keep electricity affordable for members. If the co-op can reduce electricity purchased during high-demand periods, it helps keep energy costs stable for all members.
CEC is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative serving approximately 25,000 members with over 3,000 miles of distribution line in portions of Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Forest, Mercer and Venango counties.
