Utility Scam Targets Central Electric Members
PARKER, PA September 23, 2019- Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) is warning members of a phone scam that has targeted its members.
The co-op is warning member to be aware of suspicious automated phone calls regarding over payment on CEC electric bills.
CEC will not call and offer a refund because of over payment. If you receive a call and you are unsure if the call is associated with your co-op, hand up and immediately call the office at 1-800-521-0570.
Always be very cautious and do not give out any personal or bank information over the phone to someone calling you.
