Due to favorable weather and budget conditions, CEC has been able to begin the 2025 tree trimming work early. Contracted line clearing crews began work in the areas surrounding the Karns City substation in November 2024. The work can reduce risks of outages and service interruptions.

CEC utilizes Treesmiths Utility Arborists, Davey Tree Service, and O’Connell Electric to carry out trimming services. CEC members may encounter contracted crews. All contractors carry company issued identification.

CEC will update members through 2025 as crews continue work throughout the service territory.
