Outage Update

Saturday | March 14, 2026

High winds beginning Friday afternoon have caused widespread outages throughout CEC’s service territory.

Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour caused a peak outage count of 12,000. This count included six power supply outages.

Crews have made significant progress since the onset of the storm. At the time of publication, CEC has approximately 1000 outages.

Restoration work will continue throughout the night.

CEC reminds members to keep outage safety in mind and encourages them to review our safety tips.

As additional information becomes available, CEC will continue to update members on central.coop.

CEC thanks members for their patience.
