Getting the Most Out of SmartHub
Whether you’re at home, on the go, or just looking for a simpler way to stay connected, CEC’s web and mobile app, SmartHub, makes managing your electric account effortless. All it takes is a few taps on your phone or clicks on your computer to access several helpful features that members may not have discovered yet.
DIGITAL PAYMENTS
The most popular SmartHub feature for members is paying electric bills online. As soon as you log in, you’ll be able to view your billing history and make a payment. You’ll be able to see your current bill, along with bills from the previous months.
The first time you make a payment either through the web or your mobile device, you’ll be able to securely store your payment information for future transactions. The next time you need to pay your bill, it will only take a couple of clicks. Members can choose to go completely paperless or continue receiving a paper bill and still enjoy the convenience of paying online.


ENERGY USAGE
It’s more than just a payment tool, SmartHub is much more!
It is your own personal energy assistant, helping you monitor your energy usage easier than ever. By going to the “Usage” tab, you can view your energy from the past year down to the last hour. CEC uses detailed graphs and statistics to offer:

- 3. Average Usage
- 4. Usage Planning
You can also adjust your setting to measure based on weather, usage, or cost. Whichever helps to analyze and understand your energy trends the best!
ALERTS
You can personalize your notifications to match your preferences whether it’s about your account, usage, billing, or outages. Notifications and alerts can be sent to you either via text or email — it’s up to you! For example, SmartHub Notifications can inform members of confirmed outages, when power is restored and, when possible, an estimated time of restoration (ETR). By going to your account settings and selecting “Manage Notifications” you can opt-in or out of the alerts that matter most to you.

OUTAGES
If you want to report an outage, you can conveniently access our outage center to contact us online. You have access to how many members are out and how many have been served in the event of an outage, all at your fingertips. This information coincides with CEC’s outage map, showing where there are outages in the area.
