Mr. McFarland has been a CEC member since 2011. He attended Penn State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in biology. He furthered his education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy.

Mr. McFarland applies his education in his role as a Pharmacy Manager and has worked at the Walmart Pharmacy in Cranberry for 18 years.

He enjoys time with his wife, Katherine, and their two children.

A Personal Statement from Mr. McFarland

I am eager to serve on the Central Electric Cooperative’s board of directors as the Forest County Representative. Being a member for nearly 15 years and my parents being members since 1978, my ties to the cooperative are strong. I look forward to being a part of the organization and serving the membership.

My extensive experience in the private sector has allowed me to hone my skills in operations, safety, compliance, driving innovation and fostering partnerships that deliver value to my current organization. This professional experience has given me a unique perspective on how a business can align profitability with community focused initiatives.

Now serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Central Electric Cooperative, I will be focused on contributing to the cooperatives mission of providing reliable, affordable and sustainable energy. My goal will be to leverage my private sector experience to guide strategic decisions that benefit members and ensure long term vitality of the cooperative.

I am committed to embracing collaboration, transparency and innovation to build a forward thinking energy future for the cooperative’s community.
