Mr. Etzel has been a Central Electric member since 1973. He has been on the board since 2013. 

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Clarion University and has a master’s equivalency. He taught mathematics at Franklin Area High School for 35 years. 

Now retired from teaching, he and his wife, Jone, run a hobby farm and enjoy dancing on weekends. They have a son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. 

Mr. Etzel has served on a variety of community and church boards and is presently on the Zoning Hearing Board and Vacancy Board for Cranberry Township (Venango County). 

He holds a Director Gold Cooperative Certificate through the National Rural Electric Association.
