Dr. John Campbell, PE, Forest County, CEC Board of Directors

Dr. John Campbell, PE has been a CEC member since 1995 and was appointed to CEC's Board of Directors in 2021. He currently serves as board vice president. In Aug. 2022, he earned his Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate. Since then, Dr. Campbell has obtained his Board Leadership Certificate and achieved Director Gold Status.

Dr. Campbell has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania, has a Master's in Business Administration from Duquesne University, and has a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate, Board Leadership Certificate, and achieved Director Gold Status. Additionally, he is an Eagle Scout. 

Dr. Campbell enjoyed a career as an electrical engineer before deciding to return to school for dentistry. As an electrical engineer he worked for GTE Sylvania and Mobay/Bayer. As a dentist, he had a family practice in Fryburg for almost 30 years. While practicing dentistry, Dr. Campbell continued working as an electrical engineer at a consulting level. Dr. Campbell is currently retired from both professions.

In his free time, Dr. Campbell enjoys wilderness canoeing, hiking, fishing, hunting, and wood working. He also volunteers with the Forest Stewardship Council helping with wildlife and land management, Ducks Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Ruffed Grouse Society. In the past, he has also volunteered as a past director of the Forest County Cooperative Extension, as an EMT with the Tionesta Ambulance Service, and Canine Service Pals. Dr. Campbell is also a member of the American Tree Farm System, Pennsylvania Forestry Association, Fryburg Sportsmen's Club, Forest County Sportsmen's Club, Allegheny Valley Sportsmen's Club, and the National Rifle Association

Dr. Campbell and his wife, Beverly, reside in Tionesta Township where they actively maintain their tree farm, orchard, and raise English Labrador Retrievers. They have three children and nine grandchildren.
